IN>TIME 2010 Symposium
Performing Futures: Sustaining and Continuing a Live Art Performance Practice

Join IN>TIME artists and curators along with special guests Sara Jane Bailes, Julie Laffin, Nick Lowe, Trevor Martin, Abina Manning, Roberto Sifuentes, Lorelei Stewart, Shannon Stratton, Tricia Van Eck, Faith Wilding and others as they discuss strategies for sustaining and continuing a live art performance practice.

This symposium, presented in conjunction with the bi-annual IN>TIME Performance Series Showcase, will examine questions such as:

--How do you balance the needs of presenters, funders and audiences while maintaining innovative, radical practice?

--How do you keep your practice alive and motivating?

--How do you transition from institutional training to self-directed practice?

Presented by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, IN>TIME is an annual Chicago performance series of local, national, and international artists. This year’s events are co-sponsored by the School of the Art Institute of Chicago Performance Department.
