Access Excess

Access Excess is an exhibition exploring the environment of anephemeral event - a live musical performance - through the lens of visualartists. While the focal point of a concert is the perform­ers, a plethora ofvisual elements are involved in creating and enhancing the experience. Artistssuch as graphic designers, illustrators, photographers and many others are allcrucial in creating this environment from the designs on the merchandise to thepromotions for the event. The visual elements that often fade into thebackground- band t-shirts, posters, album art, post-event photos, fashion,advertisements and fliers - are now the focus,givingviewers access to the excess.
